I started tinkering with a camera in the seventh grade. That initial
curiosity has evolved into 20 plus years of professional experience as an
award-winning editorial photographer for national publications and two
prominent universities.
Using both digital and film formats, I am dedicated to capturing the spirit of people and places, and to making compelling photographs that tell stories. I excel at visual communications that support an editorial concept, and I always strive to exceed the expectations of my clients.
While understanding exposure values and lighting ratios is important, I believe successful photography is really built upon interpersonal skills and creative thinking. I am comfortable working with and earning the trust of those I photograph, from a stranger on the street to a leading researcher to a busy top executive. I love working on location because it keeps my thinking sharp and challenges me to problem-solve on my feet.
I don't turn off photography at the end of the day. To me, it is a way of life, a passionate force in the way I see, think and communicate.
