The shadow of photographer Jeff Miller and Rachel Stute, his almost-three-year-old niece, are cast upon the side of a red barn at the Stute family farm during sunset in East Troy, Wis., on May 13, 2003. On the 159-acre farm, Michele Stute raises more than 100 Clun Forest sheep and her husband Jim Stute tends to soybeans, corn, wheat and hay crops in addition to his full-time state position as an agricultural extension specialist.
